To provide interns with an opportunity to learn from working in an international

Ms. Julia Wijnmaalen (NLD) is working in the Planning and Coordination (P&C) Branch as well as in the Concepts, Interoperability and Capability (CIC) Branch.
She will conduct her internship at CCOE from 01 February until 15 July 2010. She has obtained a Bachelor in International Relations, a Bachelor and a Master
in Psychology and a sponsored Master in Humanitarian Action at the Humanitarian Aid department of the European Commission (ECHO). All of these degrees are obtained
at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. At the University of Louvain (Belgium) she started specializing in CIMIC from a humanitarian point of view. During
her time at the CCOE she will co-develop questionnaires which can be used in the debriefing process in identifying Lessons Learned from missions. She will also
research and co-develop a profile for CIMIC personnel regarding skills, behaviour, knowledge, attitudes and motivation.
Mr. André Odenthal (DEU) is working in the Concepts, Interoperability and Capability (CIC) Branch. He has been studying Sociology
and Political Science at the Heinrich-Heine-University in Düsseldorf with emphasis on Rational-Choice-Theory and peacekeeping measures. Dilemmas of
Cooperation and their implications on the stability of the social order belong to his area of specialization. He has obtained a Master degree in
Sociology and is now working on a project concerning the importance of Good Governance as an element of Advanced Cultural Competence.
He is doing research, in accordance with the latest NATO Doctrine Draft (AJP-9), on this NATO CIMIC relevant topic within a Comprehensive Approach.
