The Advanced Cultural Competence (ACC) Model is the gate to CCOE's "... makes sense" publication series.
The ACC model provides:
� Clarity of thinking about culture in an operational setting
� Comprehension by covering all aspects of culture and stringent conclusions on each element

Change of Command at 1 CIMIC Battalion Apeldoorn

On 02 November 2011, a change of command at the 1 Cimic Battalion in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands, took place. After two years in command, LTC Ernst Lobbezoo handed over to LTC Jan Vonk.

The new student info guide for our new courses is available for download. All administrative issues to allow a smooth participation in one of our courses are decsribed in a comprehensive manner. The current version is still valid, but will be totally replaced by the new one latest by the end of 2011.

Belgian CIMIC expert honoured with the German "Ehrenkreuz der Bundeswehr"

On Tuesday, 30 August 2011, Adjudant Marco Corstjens from the Belgian Army was honoured with the German Medal "Ehrenkreuz der Bundeswehr" in Bronze for his outstanding achievements in multinational CIMIC and his great support to the CIMIC Centre of Excellence.

Based on recommendations of the NATO CIMIC Community of Interest, CCOE revised, adjusted and developed new courses. Current courses will be ceased mainly by the end of 2011 and will be replaced by courses with a new curriculum.
