The CLM is a logical follow-up to the NATO CIMIC Basic Course (NCBC). The over riding aim of
the CLM is the further consolidation of your knowledge with the challenges of a CIMIC liaison
officer. With your participation in the NCBC you will better established a basic knowledge
about the importance of the CIMIC core function liaison. It´s time to elevate your liaison
abilities to the next level. Get prepared to feel more comfortable for future assignments as
a CIMIC liaison officer.
A mission experience briefing, with the main interest on typical challenges of a liaison
officer, will create the needed mindset and build the framework for a variety of workshops.
The insights from Day one in conjunction with excellent lectures about communication and
negotiation skills, will deepen your conceptual knowledge. Your progress will be measured
during challenging role-plays and strengthened by professional feedback from your trainers. A
three hours real life exercise will provide you with the opportunity to apply your new skills
by conducting a survey.
