CIMIC Key Leader Conference 2021
The objective of the virtual CIMIC Key Leader Conference 2021 (CKLC21) is to address CIMIC contemporary challenges in an evolving security landscape.
The leadership across the NATO CIMIC community will share initiatives, exchange ideas and information, and in the end, the network will be reinforced.
After a sketch of the strategic environment, the conference is organised around the contribution of distinguished keynote speakers and 2 panels; “building resilience in fragile states” and “resilience in the Euro Atlantic Area”.
For the CCOE, it is an extremely relevant event because we have a responsibility to be on top of the current developments in the “comprehensive security landscape” in order to be able to support the transformational and operational requests of our customers; numerous activities of the CCOE’s Program of Work are directly linked with the topics of both panels.
In the afternoon session, Lieutenant General ret. Ton van Loon moderated panel 2, “Resilience in the Euro Atlantic Area”, from the CCOE. The contribution of the speakers and the input of the extensive experience in this field of Lieutenant General ret. Ton van Loon resulted in fruitful discussions.
To conclude, the CCOE staff participating in the CKLC21 is eager to broaden their outlook and ensure that the conference will reinforce our network and will energize us to continue contributing to the further development and improvement of the NATO CIMIC capability and further institutionalisation of CMI and a Comprehensive Approach.
