Visit of Finnish Defence Force International Centre

The recently appointed Commander of the Finnish Defence Force International Centre – FINCENT Jukka-Pekka Schroderus, visited the CCOE on January 20th. FINCENT, known until 2001 as the UN Training Centre, was founded in 1969 as the first peacekeeping training center in the world. FINCENT concentrates on courses, seminars and exercises within the framework of the UN, the EU, NATO and NATO/Partnership and the African Union. Demanding and challenging training can be carried out, using modern training equipment on the excellent terrain for exercises, conducted by professional and experienced instructors.

At the beginning of 2015, FINCENT became a part of the National Defence University, yet its main tasks and functions remain unchanged.
