Last week, the Civil-Military Cooperation Centre of Excellence (CCOE) participated in the 16th CIMIC UNIT COMMANDERS’ CONFERENCE (CUCC) hosted by the Multinational CIMIC Group in Oderzo, Italy.

The event covered the topic of “Military Contribution to Human Security MC2HS and its implications to Collective Defense from a CIMIC perspective”. Military and Non-Military experts from strategic to tactical levels were sharing their thoughts and having discussions. The CCOE was officially REPRESENTED BY OUR Deputy Director and Chief of Staff Col Henk Paape and contributed actively with two presentations by our Branch Chief CIC LTC Stefan Muehlich about related conceptual and doctrinal developments and about the relevance of an appropriate capability to analyse and assess the civil environment.

The outcomes of this conference will be transferred to the SHAPE, and CCOE co-hosted “integrated CIMIC Key Leader Conference” in The Hague from 05 - 07 September 2023.
