Good-Bye Jan Gerrit

The NATO Civil-military cooperation Centre of excellence (CCOE) said goodbye to LTC Jan Gerrit Brouwer on Thursday 30 March. LTC Brouwer has spent a distinguished career in the Dutch Armed Forces for more than 43 years and has made an invaluable contribution during his time at the CCOE.

LTC Brouwer's farewell was attended by around 40 people, including CCOE staff, friends, former companions and his family, to pay tribute to him for his achievements and commitment to the organisation. CCOE Deputy Director Colonel Henk Paape officially presented LTC Brouwer with his certificate of dismissal and acknowledged his contribution to the CCOE.
Colonel Paape also thanked LTC Brouwer for his many years of service as Head of Training and Education Branch.The Director of the CCOE, Colonel Eckel, paid tribute to LTC Brouwer's experience and achievements as Branch Chief in his speech. He also highlighted the unwavering support of his family, especially his wife Kim, without whom his contributions to the CCOE would not have been possible. LTC Brouwer's farewell was a testament to the CCOE's appreciation for his outstanding work and tireless commitment to the organisation. In the future, the CCOE will continue to have access to the wealth of experience and knowledge of LTC Brouwer as a consultant in a small office, but this time as a civilian. 

We thank LTC Brouwer for his outstanding service and wish him all the best in his retirement, happiness and health for his future endeavours.
