Observer Coach Trainer (OCT) training

On 27 - 30 September 2022, an Observer Coach Trainer (OCT) training took place at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) in Hohenfels, Germany.
For the first time in the existence of the OCT Academy, participants from the CCOE have gone through the training and successfully completed it. Major Jeffrey Canaan and Captain Dominik Degener are the first official and certified OCTs of the CCOE.
This is another step in the excellent collaboration between the CCOE and the JMRC. Major Canaan and Captain Degener are among the most important resources of the JMRC.
As OCTs they are responsible for observing unit actions and controlling both the training unit and the opposing force, to ensure the exercise procedures are executed as planned.
Additionally, they teach and coach units, provide feedback, and conduct after-action reviews.
At the end of the training, the commanding officer of the JMRC, Colonel Justin Reese, thanked all the participants and was particularly pleased about their participation and their future cooperation with the CCOE.
