NATO CIMIC LIAISON Satellite Course – Deterrence & Defense in Hungary

Last week, from 8th to 13th April 2024, marked the successful conclusion of the NATO CIMIC LIAISON Satellite Course – Deterrence & Defense. This training took place at the Hungarian Defence Forces (HDF) - Civil-Military Cooperation and Psychological Operation Centre (HDF CMCPOC), in Szentendre – HUNGARY. Guided by Major Francesco Di Giampietro, Course Director from the CCOE, and in collaboration with OF-3  Csaba Szabó, Host Nation Course Director, and OF-1 Tamás  SZABÓ Host Nation Course Assistant, the course sought to enhance our collective readiness and cooperation. The course encompassed practical components, like assessing Host Nation’s infrastructure and conducting liaison with the Mayor of Tahitotfalu, Dr. Sajtos Sandor and meet IOM representative in Budapest.
The course welcomed a diverse group of 21 highly motivated students representing NATO different Nations (HRV, HUN, ITA, POL, USA) guided from a pool of instructors formed by  Mr. Jan Sabiniarz (POL), OF-3 Alex Melchioretto (ITA), OF-3 Andrew Webster and Ms. Gena Sturgon (USA), OR-8 Jacco Dudink, Mr. Diederik Stolk and Mr. Colin Kramer (NLD). Their unique insights and experiences enriched the learning environment, highlighting the power of international cooperation in military readiness and training.
