CIMIC AWARD 2023 goes to Latvia

Congratulations to Ms. Natalja Vecvagare for receiving the CIMIC Award of Excellence at this year's Integrated CIMIC Key Leader Conference held at the CIMIC Centre of Excellence in The Hague. This prestigious award is given annually to individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the CIMIC world and have gained widely recognition for their outstanding achievements.

Ms. Vecvagare, as the External Affairs Coordinator and International Policy Advisor at the Municipality of Liepaja in Latvia, has played a crucial role in developing and managing civil protection systems in Liepaja. Her dedication and exceptional reputation within the Latvian CIMIC community have been widely acknowledged

One of Ms. Vecvagare's notable accomplishments is organizing military and tabletop exercises. Her meticulous planning and execution have ensured the success of these exercises, further enhancing the effectiveness of civil-military cooperation.

Additionally, Ms. Vecvagare has been instrumental in promoting and leading the CCOE CIMIC Liaison course in Liepaja in 2022 and 2023. Her selfless commitment and extensive connections have allowed her to involve key players, contributing significantly to the courses´ success.
