Budapest: A great place for CIMIC-Training

From the 7th– 18thMay 2018 the CCOE dispatched a Training Team to run this year’s NATO CIMIC Field Worker / Staff Worker Course at the Hungarian Defence Forces Civil-Military Cooperation and Psychological Operation Centre (HDF CMCPOC) in Budapest.

The CCOE personnel was supported by highly experienced instructors from the German CIMIC Centre, the Dutch 1st Civil Military Interaction Command and one instructor from the 361st Civil Affairs Brigade (US).

The common aim was to train 18 students from three different Nations in NATO CIMIC topics. Despite hot temperatures and long days during the course, all participants were highly motivated and reached the course goal.

Networking

But as important as reaching the course goal was also, to get in contact with the international participants, both students and instructors, exchange experiences and learn from each other. A special thanks to all Hungarian personnel that supported the course in a great manner and also to both commanders of the HDF CMCPOC for the outstanding support regarding the needed personnel and technical equipment for running a successful course.
