Civil-Military Cooperation Centre of Excellence and The Hague Security Delta to join forces.

Deputy Mayor of the HagueCivil-Military Cooperation Centre of Excellence (CCOE) and The Hague Security Delta (HSD) to join forces.

In accordance with its Vision 2020, developing the CCOE as “the preferred network campus to connect people, to share collective knowledge and to gain unity of purpose in the field of Civil-Military Interaction”, the CCOE is pleased to announce the launch of this new partnership.

An introductory visit of CCOE Director, Colonel Roel Been, to Mrs. Ida Haisma, Executive Director of the HSD, demonstrated the future relevance of this security network for the activities of the CCOE. In order to mutually explore the opportunities presented by this and the CCOE Community of Interest networks, both sides signed an initial partner agreement.

Members of CCOE’s Lessons Learned and Development Branch already took the opportunity to visit one of the organized activities. They visited the so called “Innovation Room” which was part of the Cyber Security Week in The Hague. 20 leading Dutch cyber security innovations were presented. This event provided the visitors the opportunity to get an insight into the latest cyber security developments, to meet cyber security experts, and to network.

The HSD is the largest network of security oriented organizations in business, government and knowledge institutions in Europe, working together on innovations and knowledge in the field of cyber security, national and urban security, protection of critical infrastructure, and forensics. The HSD forms partnerships and creates knowledge bridges with the main global security clusters in the USA, Canada, Singapore and South Africa. Strong ties are being maintained to the main European security regions and Brussels.
