Fieldtrip to the Counter-IED Centre

Improvised Explosive Devices (I.E.D.’s) are leaving many wounded and dead in conflict zones. On Thursday the 28^th, the JASON Institute, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of the Netherlands, organized an excursion to the Counter I.E.D Centre, the EU project Joint Deployable Exploitation and Analysis Laboratory (JDEAL), and a visit to the Land Warfare Centre in Amersfoort. Two interns of the CCOE participated in this highly interesting fieldtrip, where they gained knowledge about the JDEAL project, how to counter I.E.D’s and discussed possible future pathways for the Dutch armed forces.
