The First Edition of the NATO CIMIC Analysis and Assessment Course (NCAAC) Concludes

Long awaited for !

Today, the director of the CIMIC Centre of Excellence (CCOE), Colonel (GS) Andreas Eckel, took the opportunity to farewell the participants of the very first NATO CIMIC Analyse and Assessment Course (NCAAC) ever, held from 5-16th of December 2022.

Nowadays, conflict situations demonstrate an urgent need for timely, relevant and convincing CIMIC Analysis and Assessment products. By having developed the NCAAC, the CCOE responds to these needs. The inspiring leadership of Major Ralf Baur, supported by external experts, created a balanced and diverse training opportunity. Listening to the permanent feedback provided by the participants, this course is a challenging and rewarding learning experience. The thoughtfully designed concept encourages students to generate insight, hindsight, and foresight by applying theory with concrete examples by using a variety of Structural Analytic Techniques (SAT). This long awaited course fulfils learning needs for CIMIC staff in general and CIMIC analysts and therefore contributes to an enhanced understanding of the Civil Environment, which is essential in any crisis and conflict situation.

At the end of the course the attendees received their course certificate.
