Tailor made – CIMIC Seminar for EU Battle Group

13 attendees from Poland, Sweden and Hungary took the opportunity to join a tailor made CIMIC Planner Seminar (CPS) held in Budapest, Hungary from 13th till 15th of May 2015. The seminar was initiated by Hungary on the occasion of the Visegrád 4 (V4) countries’ (CZE, HUN, POL, SVK) commitment the European Battle Group (EU BG) stand by period in 2016.

The main purpose of the seminar was to further develop Grafik 1 zu Take the Opportunitythe participants’ knowledge on the CIMIC contribution to the comprehensive planning process applied by NATO. The seminar was driven by practical assignments asking the attendees to establish and discuss the typical CIMIC products generated within the planning process.

The seminar designed by the CIMIC Centre of Excellence (CCOE) was flanked by a National CIMIC Course, the NATO CIMIC Awareness Course (e-learning) and an introduction to the CIMIC Functional Planning Guide (CFPG) supported by Joint Force Command Naples (JFC-N).

The attendees learning progress was facilitated by internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SME) granted by the CCOE, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Netherlands.

As one of the first tailor made training events and with appreciation to its success the CIMIC Planners Seminar will serve as a solid model for any future on-request CCOE seminar or workshop that concentrate on customer defined training objectives and a distinguished training audience.
